Tired Skin No More!! (Part 1)

Kali ni saya kongsikan pula pembacaan saya berkenaan dengan kulit. Saya rasa ramai yang merungut tentang kulit nampak kusam. Terbaca dalam magazine Pearl Issue Nov&Dec2014, ada tip-tip yang menarik yang boleh kita praktikkan untuk mendapatkan kulit yang kekal segar!!!

Here are 8 tips how...

Lack of sleep wreaks havoc on your skin. During the party season, this can be a common complaint. Eating and drinking more than the usual can make a mess of our skin. But fear not, we have a few tried and tested remedies for you!!

1. The Teabag Trick

Before you leave for the party, soak two teabags in the water and keep them in the fridge. In the morning, take tea teabags out and place them over your eyes. This will get rid of puffy eyes. Put on some music and enjoy the calming little "spa" session for your eyes.

Alternatively, slices of cold cucumber will do the trick as well. With cucumber slices, you can apply them all over the face for a moisturising effect.


2. A Dose of Antioxidants

After a night out, your body is tired and immunity is probably down. Make a juice or smoothie of oranges pomegranate and kale. These three ingredients are pack with vitamins and antioxidants and will give your body a much needed boost.

For the rest of the day, snack on fruits and nuts. If you have been overdoing it with oily food and alcohol, a juice fast during breakfast and lunch will help you detox. Make some nutritious soups for dinner.


3. Get Moving

The last thing you want to do is probably exercise, but we say do it. Hit the gym if you have membership, otherwise unroll that yoga mat and do a 30-minute session of stretching. It will do you a world of good. Exercise increases your heart rate and oxygenizes your cells, so it will help to get your body back in working order.


4. Do a Nourishing DIY Mask

Mash a banana together with some honey and raw oatmeal. Make it into a paste and apply it onto your skin. Lie down for about 20 minutes. Pop some cucumber slices on your eyes if you have them. Then scrub of the mask with water. Your skin will be exfoliated and hydrated. Follow with your favourite moisturizer.
